Hello Readers,
I am Siddhant Thakur. People generally prefer to call me Sid. Yeah, the sweet, short, generic name.
So I will start with a brief description about myself.
I am a resident of Gurgaon, India. I passed out from Delhi Public School Gurgaon affiliated to the CBSE board, in the year 2016.
I cleared my JEE (Main and Advanced) in the same year 2016 and right now, am sitting in the comforts of my room in my house in Gurgaon cradled in anxiety mixed with excitement, looking forward to turning over a new page of my life; to starting my journey as a student of Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur.
Sigh! Still a month to go.
Now why am I starting yet another blog in a sea of already existing blogs on almost every topic potentially imaginable by the average human mind?
Well, the reason is simple. I have been a JEE aspirant (Woah! I seriously miss those days. Always had something to look forward to) and I am sure that majority of JEE aspirants are unaware of what exactly are they working so hard for!
Confused? I mean, yeah right, we know we are working hard to get into a good IIT. We are working hard for an awesome life ahead; for studying in the premier institutions of the country. That's absolutely true. Even I knew all these things during my JEE preparation. What I did not know but always wanted to know was about the life at these places. I could never really get the exact idea of how amazing and thrilling my life is going to be through the 4 years of my stay at an IIT. People did tell me it is going to be that way but it was never so satisfactory an insight. Also I was never sure I would make it to any IIT; not even after giving my JEE Advanced. That is another story and I will save that for another day. :)
So here I am now, all set to take you on the roller coaster ride with me. I will be writing about my experiences here at IITK.
I am sure reading about my stay here will give all my juniors preparing day and night for the most important exam of their lives (atleast at this point of their lives) that extra motivation to work hard for something that is going to change their lives completely. Something that is going to turn their lives upside down. Yes, you have no idea, what a drastic transition it is going to be. Trust me when I say this, it is going to be for the best. Also I believe they could use the blog for a refreshing and inspiring read for the studious state of mind they all are in. ;)
Another reason for this blogging venture of mine is that it wasn't long ago when I realized I loved writing and would love to pursue this as a hobby.
So fasten your seat-belts guys. We are about to embark on a thrilling roller coaster ride very soon!
Cheerio!
